Description

Mixed media piece. Not really a painting, but was not sure in what other gallery to put it. A combination of PrismaColor markers and pencils along with other assorted oil-based markers and hard lead pencils. Printed my pencils light on a xerox and went right over it with color... which means this piece was done on 24lb standard white copier paper. This helped -- and hindered -- the blending of the oil-based markers... they really wanted to bleed all over the place. I worked on a plexi-glass table top so the markers soaked thru and continued to blend well after I thought I was done. That's where the PrismaColor pencils came in... used them to go back and refine edges and create shading. Although in some areas, I shaded first with the pencils and then went over them with the markers. Very happy with the results!! Artwork �2014 Christopher M. Saghy
