Description

I grew up reading British humour comics and although at the time I didn't really know who the artists were I was always drawn to Ken Reid's work. He has often been called the British Basil Wolverton but that downplays his individuality and his talent. ken Reid was one of the finest and funniest comic artists the UK has ever had. His work is amazing and I would love to find more of these Weridies which are some of his most creepy drawings.

The ideas were submitted by readers and Ken would draw them. This one does not have an address on the back (the otehr one I have does), but the comic attributes it to Stephen Cresswell.

Love this ! The colour printed page gives it a different feel and would almost be at home in The Fabulous Furry Freak Bros , or anything by Crumb & Co!

The art walks the line between humor and horror quite well. As an American, it reminds me a bit of something that might have popped up in "Plop!"
