Description

This beautiful Cartier was the dust jacket painting for the Gnome Press hardback edition of "Cosmic Engineers" by Clifford D. Simak, published in 1950. During production the printer added two colors to the image creating a duotone appearance in beautiful shades of blue and gold. See the additional image above to view the hardback first edition.

Such depth with the lighting and shading. So gorgeous! Hard to find a better Cartier
