Description

This post-apocalyptic science fiction splash page was done for the story "They Just Fade Away" by Bernie Wrightson. It was drawn by Bernie in 1977 but didn't appear in print until February 1986, in the final issue of Marvel's Epic Illustrated. This story was commissioned by Allen Milgrom to appear in his own independent comic to be entitled Absolutely Incredible Comics, but the project never materialized and the story was released to appear in Epic Illustrated #34.

I absolutely love this one! Bernie was really just a freaking genius. I've loved this particular image since the first time I ever saw it. Congratulations Glynn, on just an absolutely wonderful addition to your collection. Just magnificent.
