Description

When I saw that Mike Dooney was auctioning a commission opportunity on eBay, I leapt at the chance to have Mike draw one of his superb "good girl" creations for me. I gave him a list of seven characters to select from, and Mike came up with preliminary sketches of five. Both he and I really liked his version of Ms. Marvel -- a character he had never been asked to draw before -- so I asked him to complete Carol in her original costume for this commission. She turned out spectacular, IMHO. One of the other options, Saturn Girl, turned into a separate commission, which you can see in the Heroines gallery.

Funny thing about this one Michael - you were commenting on how much you liked my Franchesco Ms. Marvel, but this Dooney piece of yours (which I absolutely love, btw) happens to be what I had printed out for Franchesco to use as costume reference! Small world, eh?
