Published in Rough Works by Frank Frazetta (Spectrum Fantastic Arts, 2007)

Another gift from my parents, this time for my birthday. They saw the piece listed in a Russ Cochran auction, thought it looked a lot like me, and told me to go for it. I count myself lucky to have been the high bidder because a lot of A list Frazetta fans, like Simon Bisley & Dr. Dave Winiewicz, were also bidding.
Russ, when he shipped the piece to me, mentioned that there was an interesting story to the drawing ... but then he never followed up with what the story was. It wasn't until years later that Arnie Fenner, the publisher of Rough Works, was kind enough to tell me about the inspiration for the piece.

It is a gorgeous piece, and I'll have to keep coming back to check and see if we ever do get to find out what the story is.
