As of this posting I am the new owner of this piece and it is officially in a black hole collection. Just wow. I have some stuff that is kind of cool. You will never see anything in my galleries that would make the front page of a Heritage Auction Catalog Cover. However, this is a piece that really makes me smile. This is from Raiders of the Lost Ark #3 which is the mini series that introduced Indiana Jones to the Comic Book world. Page #3 depicts a classic scene from the movie in which Indy, finds himself trapped in the Well of Souls with Marion, after the Nazi's have stolen the Ark from him. Indy is able to escape by toppling a statue into the wall and making his way though to the German Airfield and the "Flying Wing" where he believes the ark is being loaded for travel to Berlin. You have Indiana Jones, Marion, dialogue between the two calling each other by name and a classic scene. Oh yeah, some guy named John Buscema pencilled it.
