DescriptionFrom the 2012 Ebay Charity Auction: John Picacio has generously donated his time and talent to the MicoVisions exhibit to create a drawing to help support tomorrow’s illustrators. All of the proceeds of this piece will go to the Society of Illustrators Student Scholarship fund. This drawing is currently on display in the Members Gallery at the Society of Illustrators until May 12, 2012.Original Drawing Signed, 5" x 7" For more information on John Picacio please visit johnpicacio.com About the Student Scholarship The history of the Student Scholarship is an impressive one. Since its inception in 1981 it has bestowed over 1.5 million dollars to deserving students. A jury of professional peers selects the most outstanding works from over 8,000 entries. From those entries over 200 works are selected for the Exhibition and Catalog. The jury reconvenes to review the original art and select the scholarship recipients. Illustrators who have won awards, or exhibited in the show have gone on to become among the field's brightest stars. To date, MicroVisions has raised over $35,000 for these scholarships.
