DescriptionPaul Stahr was a prolific cover artist for the pulp Argosy in the 1920's and 1930's. This one is from the January 27, 1934 issue of Argosy and illustrates "Valley of Missing Men" by Loring Brent. Brent was a pseudonym of George Worts, one of Argosy's most popular authors, whose series characters included Peter the Brazen, Singapore Sammy and Gillian Hazeltine.Social/Sharing |
