Description

It's Red vs. Blue as DD sneaks into The Avengers Mansion where he schools the Beast in the 1978 story "The Man Without Fear?" The two Franks (Robbins and Springer) provided the art on this story, which must have been jarring for readers at the time as Robbins' DD was quite different compared to what preceded it. Great sequential storytelling by Frank Robbins on this kinetic 9-panel action page. Oh, and don't miss the tiny Captain America cameo in panel 3.

Great page from a singular artist. The inks also mesh well with his pencils.

The Beast sure looks beastial as Robbins draws him! I kind of wish Frank had gotten to draw a guest issue of the Avengers in the late 1970s. Nice pick-up Steve!
