This is especially nice! It is a scene from very early in the story and yet makes a perfect and dynamic cover drawing that I can't remember anyone else using as the key depiction for the story. Whelan made a great choice here.

I love Mr Whelan's painted covers to the books - bright, colourful, action-packed: perfect for ERB's books! Fantastic to see a prelim. Thanks for sharing
