DescriptionFrom Marvel Team Up issue # 6 page # 1 circa 1972.It's hard to believe that after all these years of collecting, this is my first piece of art pencilled by Gil Kane. I suppose it's my own fault for trying to hold out for his signature character Green Lantern. This will do nicely in the interim. As far as nostalgia goes, this hits the sweet spot for me since I was always a fan of the team up cross over titles. Spidey was my favorite character and as a bonus you got another Marvel hero joining in on the action. In this issue, Thing is the co-star and Puppet Master is the villain. Thanks to the Conan fan from this very appreciative Spiderman fan. Cheers! N. Social/Sharing |

I'll take a Kane Spidey over a Kane GL any time. Super groups and team-up books were my favorite growing up, so MTU was heaven for me. The fact that is starred Spidey was even better. Great splash from an early issue. Congrats!

I find it interesting that GL is Kane's signature character, when Kane is the artist of the "Death of Gwen Stacy" Spider-Man issues, which is arguably one of the most famous Spidey stories of all time. Nevertheless, congrats on snatching a vintage splash for your museum-like collection.

Nelson, a superb Bronze Age splash by one of the greatest artists! Kane's layout and composition was unparalleled! And its from the greatest year in comics ever - 1972! I was going to buy this one and you snatched it! Early bird gets the worm!

Awesome Spdier-Man splash! I love Gil Kane! His work really typifies the '70s for me. Especially on Spider-Man. Kane was the go-to artist for many titles at Marvel and created so many iconic images! And Mike Esposito's inks over Kane are just superb!
