Description

Many of you have have already seen the scan of the photocopy taken from my ComicArtCollector.com website and posted on John's website.

John acknowledges that this is the original cover to Uncanny X-Men # 113. According to JB, Jim Shooter, the Editor in Chief of Marvel at that time, asked John to redraw the cover in accordance with his own cover design. In this unpublished version, some of the X-Men are positioned differently and are drawn larger.

Now JB does state that the pencils are his but disavows the inks. Since only Byrne's name is signed on the art, the inker is unknown at this time.
