DescriptionI've been collecting for over 30 years, and finally, finally, my first Pat Oliphant political cartoon! The piece pictures Anwar El Sadat, Jimmy Carter, and Menachem Begin, and is dated March 16, 1979. The drawing no doubt refers to the lead-up and signing of the Egypt-Israel Peace Treaty, which was signed on March 26, 1979.Oliphant is one of *the* political cartooning giants, with a sharp pen point and humor, and it is a pleasure to welcome him to the collection.
