Description

Incredibly today upon learning of Herb's passing I went to my CAF gallery to move my Justice Society commission to the featured gallery.

I discovered that I have never posted the incredible western commission he did for me a few years back and proudly hangs in my work office.

So posthumously, here is Herb's great take on three of Marvel's well known western characters.

You might also notice the Outlaw Kid, Easter egg and the way he worked my name into the commission.

Rest in peace Herb and thank you for hours of enjoyment through the decades and different ages of comics.

The best ever from one of the nicest artists I ever had the pleasure to meet -- going to comic conventions is not going to be the same without getting to see Herb Trimpe...RIP

Herb was a tremendously underrated artist, in my opinion. This amazing piece stands as a testament to his talent.

Second Comment - this is truly on of the best commissions Herb has ever done and I cannot believe he is no longer with us -- at least his artwork lives on to inspire and excite another generation!

Love it! Just an outstanding tribute to Marvel's Western titles by one of the premier artists of that genre and, of course, The Incredible Hulk. Love the personal touches and many of the other fine details, too. Big congrats!

Super cool piece by Herb Trimpe! The incorporation of your name (twice) into the artwork is awesome! It's sad about Mr. Trimpe passing, but you have an amazing piece to enjoy for years to come!
