Description

This page has beeen in the 75 Years Of Batman exhibition in Cologne Germany, along with other original art related to Batman. Long before David went to DC to take over on Batman, The Dark Knight. This page is from around 1999 and proves that he was just made to work on the character. Unfortunately, now without the super talented Joe Weems. He is, even today, my favorite inker over David's pencils. No offense to Matt Banning, Danny Miki and Richard Friend. ;-)

Amazing page!! I was the guy who put it up on e-bay sometime in 2010. I found that page in a comic book shop in a plastic bag under a lot of dust. The owner forgot about it, and said it had been sitting there for about 10 years.

Hey John, I always thought I had replied to your comment. Well, I guess almost 10 years later it is still not "too late" :D

Let me tell you it does not often happen that your heart is beating to the max when a package arrives. Thank you again for packing it well. The page still excites me like on the first day.

Now it is lent to a museum and will most probably travel to the next by the end of this year.

That;s good to hear. And you got it for a good price back then.

I used that money to get a Frazetta Johnny Comet strip, I had amost enough, then your money helped top it off.

Yeah, it wasn't too bad, even for back then. It was just right in my budget, a bit more though and I would have been out of the race...

Good to read that you could put the funds towards something not only nice but special. The Frazettas were more affordable but still out of my reach, even back then.

Same thing here, as I do not have a SAFE display space, it is tucked away to not get

kocked down or anything, by young and/or clumsy family members.

That way it stays fresh to the eye for me as well. Hope I can get it into a exhibition again

at some day in the future to see it hung in a proper environment and light.
