Description

"Let the Apocalypse Begin"

And so began my favourite Dredd epic, the one that cemented my love for the world of Dredd and 2000ad. Never had the stakes been so high or the excitement so sustained from episode to episode and always with the signature Wagner humour: "Spare us the speech Vlad.."

When I bought the missiles page over 5 years ago, I had the faint hope that one day I might be able to get my hands on the preceding page and reunite them.

Sometimes with patience (and gentle pestering) these faint hopes become reality, many thanks to Spikes for parting with the historic first page. I'm delighted to now have them side by side and ready for me to measure up and frame!

(I suppose strictly speaking they are pages 3&4 as the DPS that precedes this would be 1&2, but this is where the story begins..)

It wasn't an easy decision to make to let Page 1 go - the postergraph dps doesn't count! :-) but these pages definitely deserved to be reunited. The Apocalypse War is in a lot of ways the best Dredd epic, so to have the first two pages from it, is something very special indeed.
