Description

Happy to have a piece by the legendary Michael Whelan in the collection again! Whelan created this piece as the cover image for � The Year's Best Horror Stories, Series IX�, edited by Karl Edward Wagner and published by DAW in 1981. It was also used for the German language book �Das Stonehenge-Monster� by Henry Wolf, published by Bastei in 1983. It appeared in Whelan�s art book, �Something in My Eye�, published by Mark V. Ziesing in 1996. Finally, it was included in the Other Worlds collection card set, published by Comic Images in 1995 (card #87).

I like the signature carved into the stone! The skies break just enough for that glow right above the werewolf's head!
