Description

A very neat encounter with Scott Kolins at the Oct.17 edition of the Paris Manga & Sci-Fi Festival! It gave me the opportunity to tell him face-to-face how floored I'd been with his stellar linework on Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes and how priviledged I'd been to acquire a page from this outstanding series...

Some other pages from this one were still available for sale in his portfolio, but, since he had a little time on his hands, I opted instead for an on-the-spot commission: a board size pin-up of the Flash ("which one?" did he ask. "Barry Allen, of course! the only one for me!).

As this is my son's absolute Numero Uno hero, it will be a very fine addition to his collection.

As you can see, Scott did a stellar job on his signature character! It actually took him the best part of an hour, so I had ample time to admire his fantastic line technique and the distinctive use on shades that really make the character up and running.

It's The Flash we know and love! A stand-out moment for me!
