DescriptionI had no idea about scratchboard or Nicolas Delort's body of work before seeing his Great Pumpkin print for Dark Hall, followed up by his Christmas piece. This is the original; the prints were done with the ornament on the tree tinged red, and with the lights as foil.Social/Sharing |

A piece like this takes Charlie Brown from pop culture to something just short of mythology. I like how the resulting "etching effect" is a departure from the familiar look of snow on pine trees. The gang waiting outside the house for Chuck is a great touch.
