Description

Great commission from Giovanni Timpano, artist of the current Shadow / Batman series.

This piece is like a scene out of a movie. Batman looking down at the street below as the Joker is involved in a high speed chase in his Jokermobile with the cops in reckless pursuit as the rain pours down. Giovanni definitely tells a story with his art rather than just showing a stale pose. This guy is going places.

Awesome piece! Love that view and the way he kept all the detail up high and toned it down as the scene moved to the street far below.

Agreed. The focus is immediately drawn to the top portion of the scene and Batman instantly pops out at you due to the heavy inks and obvious details. However, upon further inspection, the chaotic scene below is also fairly detailed despite the fact that it is mostly outlined and pretty light on ink. If you look closely you can see the Joker in his Jokermobile shooting at the cops.
