DescriptionOne of the most insanely detailed commissions ever. Gerhard truly knocked this one out of the park. This commission was meant to be lighthearted and fun (which it is), but the level of details is just nuts. The ‘66 Barris’ Batmobile, ‘66 Batcycle, Batcomputer, the Wrightson-esque flasks and beakers in the “chemical research materials” area, the atomic pile… and of course the Batcave staples of the T-Rex, giant penny, and giant Joker playing card. Thanks Ger! Social/Sharing |

This would make a great trophy for anyone's Batcave from '66 to today! Immersively places the viewer in this world!

Yeah this Batcave is so impressive I might have to put it up on the wall in my Batcave. Most definitely a wall worthy piece of art!

I can't even begin to guess how many hours Gerhard spent on this. Crazy good.

If you can't get a Wrightson for a million, get a Gerhard that looks almost like it!

I got to enjoy soaking this one in with my own eyes yesterday. Had there been a magnifying glass handy I would still probably be sitting there inspecting all the detail. The amount of rendered medallic relief managed even with the turned perspective of Abe's face on the giant penny is unreal. Congrats!

OMG! Now that's what I call jawdropping! What an unbelievably detailed rendering of the Batcave complete with Giant Penny, Dinosaur, Playing Card and 1966 Batmobile!!! All drawn with the level of crosshatching I haven't seen since Wrightson's Frankenstein illustrations. My. Mind. Is. Blown>

Oh man, some legit next leve stuff here. Dude. Nice scan but I'm sure it doesn't hold a candle to poring over in person! Just some exquisite line work...whew...a true labor of love. Huge congrats, Daryl!

SPECTACULAR commission, Daryl! WOW!! Insane details all over; I'm especially a fan of seeing the Joker card -through- the glass flask, and I sincerely appreciate the "Keep off! Atomic pile!" signage in the background, too... It's good to label those things, as we wouldn't want there to be anything dangerous left lying around here... Many sincere congrats, Daryl - this is incredible!
