I almiost feel like whoever drew this was looking at an Ursual pose and drew Mephisto instead. It really worked though!

So so good, it's bad :)  I know Mephisto is one of Mike's absolute favorite characters, and it shows in the work - just check this out!  Devious expression, pose, and I LOVE how his cape kind of fades into some dark tendrils.  All those hues of red, too...whew.  Congrats, man!

Outstanding! The transition from black to red perfectly captures the dark tone of the character, while at the same time the use of reds makes Mephisto vibrant and beautiful. Truly stunning.

As much as I love Buscema's muscular version of the character, there's a lot to be said for this spectacularly sinister and gaunt looking Mephisto.  Whether it's Jenny Craig, Nutrisystem, or Keto.  Whatever he's doing, it's working.  Absolutely delicious piece!

Brilliant piece, M L!  It absolutely simmers, doesn't it, just as malevolent and carcinogenic as Mephisto's sneer itself.  I can't tell you how much I love the fact that, even at its "brightest" it's still so very, very dark and smoky.  It feels like Mike is stylistically channeling Jae Lee here, with the jaggedly fluid (almost anorexically balletic?) pose.  Stunning.  The most fully-lit chiaroscuro piece you'll ever see. :)  Congrats, M L!
