Description

A really stunning and magnificent cover image by the great Brent Peeples, possibly one of the best GL images I've ever seen. It features Green Lantern in space, flying directly right out at you, ahead of the Star Trek USS Enterprise NCC-1701. I listed it as Pen and Ink, but it's really in a sense more mixed media, as there's whiteout and white paint used to great effect. Some of the stars are done in white, and some are done darker. And there's basically like a wash effect used in places (you can see bleed-through on the back side), as you can see GL isn't done in strictly black and white, and the Enterprise is different shades of grey. In terms of producing a spectacular near-perfect example of a classic cover with stunning artistry, this is about as good as you're ever going to see, and with a killer crossover of 2 legendary franchises to boot. What I'm saying is, I think it's a pret-ty darn good cover!
