Description

"They're always after me Lucky Charms!"

This 12 1/2" x 16 5/8" original Lucky Charms airbrush painting on board by illustrator Mark Wickart was used during prepress to prepare the final printing of the cereal boxes. The artwork adorned the front of the iconic General Mills cereal from circa 1996 to 2000. The image also appeared in animated television spots at the time.

The outside flap reads, "Lucky Charms Lucky/Rainbow Generic Front Panel."

The magically delicious combination of frosted oats and colored marshmallows (known officially as "marbits") has been a mainstay on cereal shelves since 1964, thanks in no small part to the ingenious corporate marketing of its stereotypically Irish mascot, Lucky the Leprechaun, who hoards bowls of his magical charms as if they were pots of gold--engaging in games of hide and seek with pesky kids in hungry pursuit.
