Like I need more Toppi...it just seems I can't get enough of his art. Absolute, peerless genius.

Tosca is the name of a Puccini opera. Tosca, a celebrated singer kills the sadistic chief of police Scarpia when he tries to manipulate her by torturing and threatening to kill her lover. When he is about to take advantage of her, she stabs him with a dagger and says this is Tosca's kiss. I do not know where this piece was published but likely in one of the many portfolios Toppi did in his lifetime.

How not to love this new Toppi in your collection? Truly a striking piece, as he only could do!

With pieces like this, you should put all of the Toppi into your collection that you can. It's gorgeous - the composition is beautiful, but the richness of the colors is what keeps drawing me into it.
