The origin of Cave Carson as told by one of his crew who betrayed him.

Cave Carson was created by France Herron and Bruno Premiani and debuted in Brave and the Bold #31 (1960). He was a scientist that developed a machine capable of boring beneath the earth's surface. He and his crew appeared sporadically in the DC universe from the 60's through the 90's and was relaunched into his own series in 2016.

The page you see the end
But here's where the Cave begins
In time, I know you'll find
Betrayal your secrets for
The lab, the gold, and more

But right now you're feeling
Lost for whisky
Crazy to even buy
Trust Truman to what
Your art keeps saying
And don't ask Cave Carson why

You've known, hide that gold
It won't be an easy climb
But watch your step at this time

Your old Johnny's calling you
You know bore you've got into.....

And whenever you're feeling
Lab that's showpiece, crazy ass 2A sign
Trust Truman to what your art keeps saying

Love how Truman does the 1960s clean DC style for Carson (especially his face), then goes back to his mordern look for the rest of the page.

I didn't know this character until seeing this piece. In addition to the layout, I like his details of the equipment and Carson's gear, texture of the metal surfaces, and shadows of the equipment in the background. The radiation warning sign and the number above the entrance are a nice touch. He put considerable work into this page.
