Description

I'll be starting work soon on organizing the material for our final Jerry Weist estate auctions, to be held at the 2016 Windy City Pulp and Paper Convention. There will be some great pulps there, including a very nice batch of Weird Tales. So, thinking of Jerry, I thought I'd post this painting that he picked up several years ago from our friend Bob Weinberg and which Deb and I later bought. It's by Hubert Rogers -- while Rogers was a leading SF artist in the 1940's and 1950's, nearly all his SF work was for Astounding. This was his only cover for Super Science Stories, and appeared on the August 1942 issue.
