Description

I like the way Fox really rolled with the theme on this piece. Everything is angles, lines, and planes. For an artist, such detailed distortion of realism has to time-consuming and tricky, but I appreciate the effort and the result.

The piece came directly from an impeccable source years ago, a member of the Fox family who was handling his estate. Apparently it was part of a book project that he was working on in the 1970's, but may not have been published prior to his death. The bulk of the material was committed to family members, but I managed to get this piece for my collection.

WOW! Fox was a Fantastic artist. His woodcut passion is so obvious in this page! I wonder if he kept pages from his Atlas years...
