DescriptionMike Ploog and Frank Chiaramonte's Man-Thing (1974) #6 page 6. In January 1974, Steve Gerber began writing the Man-Thing series, which became Marvel's chief non-superhero fantasy title. The shambling, mindless guardian of the "nexus of all realities," maintained a distinct atmosphere of dread, courtesy of Gerber, and Mike Ploog, the definitive artist of the character. In this page from the story, "And When I Die...!", the slime-crawler faces a ghostly assault of a fiend from beyond the grave, a story tailor-made for Ploog, a master of the incredible and the macabre. Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". In excellent condition with tape residue to the left and right edges.Social/Sharing |
