DescriptionOur friendly neighborhood Fed Ex man just delivered this earlier today. By artist Julian Krupa, it's the back cover for the first issue of Fantastic Adventures Quarterly, Winter 1941.The first pulp I ever bought, in 1976 at a garage sale in a barn, was a copy of Fantastic Adventures Quarterly. The covers and spine were missing, as were the first 20 or so pages, but I didn't care. I thought it was very cool. And the price was right -- I also bought around 40 issues of F&SF from the 1950's and 1960's out of that barn, and the owner threw the pulp in for free. So I'm very pleased to get a back cover painting from that title. Social/Sharing |
