Description

I was in 6th grade when The Simpsons hit the Fox channel in 1989. Soon followed the hurricane of merchandising, most notably T-shirts. Frankly, you just weren't cool if you weren't wearing a Bart Simpson T-shirt, making a Simpson shirt a staple of American fashion. This particular shirt was released around 1996 and is a parody of the Air Jordan clothing line that was also ubiquitous at the time.

The artist is Bill Morrison. Maybe don�t know his name, but I know you have seen his artwork. If you ever wore a Simpsons shirt, he probably drew it, as well as most of the Simpsons merchandising. He also painted the notorious The Little Mermaid poster, a cult favorite. He was the long-time creative director at Bongo Comics who also contributed artwork to all of The Simpsons comics . He has just taken the position as the executive editor of Mad Magazine.
