After watching him in Doom Patrol, I still don't understand the character. But that's not new, I don't understand most of what is going on in that series.

Flex was originally an opportunity for Morrison to poke Alan Moore and homage the Hero of the Beach simultaneously. Then in his own mini-series he was the embodiment of perfect heroism, bringing sunshine and hope to Morrison's existence. Or something?

Fantastic piece! I feel like Nick is really starting to enter the prime of his career here and anytime he draws Flex you can see the love he has for the character coming through.
