Quitely is the best there ever was, This is a remarkable piece, Superman soaring over Angouleme, a real treat, and an amazingly rendered background. I really love it, you have some nice Quitely's in your collection, great pick up.

The atmosphere, the posture, the way the scene breathes feels alive in that unmistakable Paul Pope way. It’s such a beautiful blend of grit and tenderness.This has always been my favorite Pope book, and seeing it through your posts reminds me why it resonates so much. Thank you for sharing these examples of Pope's greatness.

This Raphael one-shot was my first-ever Turtles comic. I bought it the same day as The Dark Knight Returns #2, and to 13 year old me, it was absolutely mind-blowing. From that day on, I was completely hooked on the Turtles. Fantastic page.

I’m generally hesitant to appreciate anyone inking Chaykin other than Chaykin himself, but this piece stands out as a compelling curiosity. It retains the hallmarks of Chaykin’s signature approach, his layouts and geometric figure work, yet it’s unmistakably Terry Austin at the height of his powers. While Byrne and Golden are often credited as the major stylistic influences of the late ’70s and early ’80s, one could argue that Austin’s precision and rendering style may have had an even more lasting impact, particularly on the wave of hyper-detailed artists who emerged in the late ’80s and early ’90s. A striking cover, without question.

This is a great page, McNiven's detailed and meticulously crafted pencils with Vines slick inks, make this page a home run. Backgrounds be damned to focus on the action at hand, and look at that gun! Stunning work. Great page. Also nice to be a part of the acquisition(enabler), a fun day of auction watching with friends.

Amazing and unforgettable page, George! I still remember my reaction when this first dropped, I was like wtf? It felt like a whole new direction. The combination of Buscema’s powerful storytelling with inks from legends like Janson, Williamson, and Sienkiewicz gave these pages such a distinct identity, more Conan than traditional superhero fare. It brought a rugged, timeless energy to the X-Men universe that felt both classic and radically ahead of its time. Just a killer piece. Thanks for sharing this gem!

Great pickup, Mikail! Frank Quitely’s work on The Authority is phenomenal. I absolutely love this run, the way he handles scale, especially with the giant character, is unparalleled. The compositions, and sense of weight make him feel massive and the page has all that great Quitely detail.

Love Hirschfeld, It's worth it for any OA collector to go check out the Hirschfeld Theater in NYC, some cool art on display there (even if MR is a horrible mess). I first did a deep dive on Hirschfeld after hearing Eric Goldberg talk about him on the Fantasia 2000 extras. A wonderful artist, this is a great example, Jeff.

Love this series, and Byrne Superman covers. Interesting and of note, Byrne was experimenting with computer graphics and I believe the bg stars was rendered on an early Macintosh (Byrne would have to confirm) and early example of digital art in comics!

Ross' recent output of Marvel covers has a classic Marvel feel but modern artistic sensibilities. I love it, great one Kahlil.
