DescriptionI know that Frank Robbins can be a divisive artist: people either love his loose, almost rubbery style, or they hate it. I'm in the former camp, as I've loved Robbins work on BATMAN, THE INVADERS, CAPTAIN AMERICA, and so many other books over the years. To me, his work radiates energy and movement, and keeps the eye moving from panel to panel and page to page. There's an excitement and intensity about Robbins' work that keeps it readable and re-readable over time, and I'm never disappointed with his dynamic storytelling. With this in mind, I fell in love with this piece the moment I saw it.I got it today, with the help of three gentlemen who provided a great trade experience; Paul Aguila, Steve Kriozere, and Anthony Snyder. Between the four of us, we were able to put together a trade deal that resulted in this piece coming my way. To say I'm thrilled is an understatement. As well, Paul, Steve, and Anthony were a joy to deal with. Easy communication and goodwill all around, they were kind and helpful as this deal went through. They each get my highest praise and recommendation for people you can trust in a transaction like this. Social/Sharing |

Congratulations John on your acquisition of this stunning Cap splash! I'm very happy that I could help facilitate a deal between you, Steve, and Anthony. It's great when all the pieces fall into place!

I had to mull it over for a while, but I too ended up in the "dig's Robbins" camp and this is an excellent example of unique dynamism he brought to his Marvel Comics work.

Robbins was awesome! An acquired taste to be sure, but damn yummy!
