Description

Original cover art for WDC & S. # 518 / 1987 by legendary dutch artist Daan Jippes.
- Notice that the "infinity" cover on the published version was an editorial decision.
Daan Jippes own take of the nephews reading issue is with a kind of "Darkwing Duck" character.
( See extra added photos ).
I asume even the Nephews like to read Super-Hero stuff in 1987..

Very nice infinity over! Might be worth it to make a stat for it for fun.

Not really a infinity cover after all..! :-) I have attached some "close up" so it`s possible to see the artists real suggestion for the comic the nephew are reading. Seems it is a very early "Darkwing Duck" like character.

But then again : Darkwing Duck debuted in 1991 and this is a cover from 1987..! From Wikipedia :"Though Darlwing Duck was originally thought by some fans to be a spin-off of the 1987 DuckTales series, creator Tad Stones stated in a 2016 report that he believes the two shows exist in different universes. Well - who knows..! ;-)
