DescriptionWhen I was a kid and I first saw this, it blew my 10 year old mind. Superman kissing Wonder Woman? What the...?I couldn't wait the pick up Action Comics #600 to find out what happened next. When I was a kid, I would by a comic here and there. But after this issue, I became a die hard comic collector. I had to go every week to the convenience store, and later the local comic book shop, to make sure I didn't miss an issue. Bravo! What a great splash! Rode down on my bike to the corner grocery to buy this issue!

Yeah, me too! Well, I actually flew down to the store on my hoverboard, but still. That is a fantastic splash, illustrating a classic scene which I believe countless young boys (and older men!) hoped and in some cases fantasized would one day happen! Kudos as well, for the beutifully understated framing job, which does exactly what it is supposed to do: Bring your attention directly to the art, and not to the frame or mat. Killer!

While I never got around to pick up this specific issue (I only started a year later), I was amazed when I first saw that image online. Ordway's work is always in another league. Stunning work !
