Description

8.5" by 11" bust of Ra's al Ghul that I commissioned from Neal Adams, and proceeded to pick up at his signing at Illusive Comics and Games (Santa Clara, CA) on May 15, 2014.

This was my very first commission, and in fact the very first piece of comic book art I've ever owned. At the time, I was working in a call center, so it felt like a lot of money. But even then, I knew it'd be worth it.

This portrait started it all. Since this Adams piece, I've spent way too much money on original art, from commissions to pages to Inktober sketches. Still -- wouldn't trade these for anything! (Except maybe more art.)
