Description

For every episode of the HBO TV series "Tales From The Crypt" (based on the EC horror/scifi/crime comics), a comic book cover was created for each episode of the 93 episode series. Artist Mike Vosburg drew each of the covers. This is from the Tales From The Crypt TV Episode #18 "Fitting Punishment". A funeral home director (Moses Gunn) cuts corners. Following a car crash, he is made the legal guardian of his teenage nephew (Jon Clair). The nephew is made an apprentice mortician earn his room and board and comes to resent the mean-spirited behavior and stinginess of his uncle. For the uncle, it may come full circle when he quotes the Bible often. Directed by Jack Sholder. Written by Jonathan David Kahn. Air date: June 19th, 1990. Source: Vault of Horror #16.
