Description

�� Brian Stelfreeze drew an On Your Mark commission for my Miyazaki character theme in San Francisco in 2011. My friends John and Robert were an immense help then. I found Brian was coming to Stocktoncon and made my way to see him again. I brought the Boom! Studios The Signature Art of Brian Stelfreeze and he drew this Catwoman as well as signing my book. I bought his Building a Monarchy Sketchbook. Brian had a couple Black Panther prints for sale, too. After that little business was done, I proceeded to ask about a commission and Brian liked my idea. It was done by the time I came back in the afternoon. My friend John and I chatted with Brian and Michelle. The main topic was the J. C. Leyendecker art at the Haggin Museum only five minutes drive from Stocktoncon at the Stockton Arena. Brian and Michelle got a behind-the-scenes tour on Friday. Brian enjoyed seeing the preliminary works as well as the paintings. The Museum is building a new gallery to house the Leyendecker pieces and will make the prelims available for viewing, too. The new gallery will open in October. Brian's spotlight panel marked the end of the day.
