DescriptionNick Bradshaw is one of those artists that really likes to draw. I know it sounds cliche but look at all the detail he puts in. The guy must have a pencil and pen permanently glued to his hand.Fantastic Four is not a comic I was ever crazy about -but always did love the Thing and the Human Torch. I picked up this piece strictly based on being a huge fan of Nick's art and the interesting compositions he puts out. Folks that follow Nick's work know that he is heavily influenced by Art Adams and even appreciates comments that compare his work's to Art's. This cover, like many other's by Nick has that Adams feel to it. It's not that he copies any of Art's work, but mostly because of the rendering and insane amount of stuff going on at all times. Thanks as always for checking out my gallery. Social/Sharing |

Agreed, stylistically he's got some Adams, but Nick's work is awesome in its own right. Congrats.

Great addition, Duke. I agree that Nick really must enjoy his work to provide this level of effort.

Great cover, wish you submitted a slightly larger size so we could see more detail.

Nick refuses to abandon paper in fulfilling its life purpose. I love his stuff. Great snag!

The cumbly and cracking of structures suggest the Thing.
The flames and smoke inform the Torch.
The two columns that stretch to the sky represent Reed.
The circular movement your eyes scan the motion of this cover are Sue.
The composition, details, and dynamic of the team are Bradshaw.

Look, I'm no gona b.s. you. Bradshaw DOES ape Adams' style almost exactly. Adams was his biggest influence and he openly admits that. But given that Adams has rarely drawn any comics throughout his career, I think it's great that we have someone like Bradshaw to not only give us the Adams style, but on a regular, monthly basis. Great cover!

Bradshaw is one of my favorite cover artists working today, and covers like this one demonstrate why that's the case. Great pickup!

When Mr Fantastic stops f'ing around. The way Johnny is flaming up in the background is really cool looking. I love Bradshaw's FF covers (I'm a huge FF fan, tho), and even snagged one myself. I so dig his hyper detailed work and all his AA homages. Great pick up. Congrats!

Phenomenal cover! I'm a huge fan of Nick Bradshaw, as I love hugely detailed artwork, and he drew a lot of great FF covers during this particular story, which I enjoyed reading. Congrats!

I always enjoy seeing all the details Bradshaw puts into his covers. Mr Fantastic's arms give the piece some nice depth!

Nice composition, depth, and the ink detail is nuts! As per usual with Bradshaw :) Great as both an FF AND Bradshaw example. And Bradshaw absolutely takes the Adams influence comparisons as a compliment, and the other he cites often is the late great Mike Wieringo. Can definitely see both in his work. Congrats!

Beardy Reed, no. Would have to get some whiteout or pen eraser to this. Lol.
