Alex created this image as the cover to Draw Magazine #13, which featured an in depth article and interview with Alex. His wife, Stacy Walker, served as the model for this piece (and for several others.

I had a chance to meet them both in San Diego this year, and she's just as beautiful in person.

I remembered this image and wanted to see if the painting was available since it was published 10 years ago. As I was describing the piece to Alex and Stacy, I was also flipping through a portfolio and came across this piece. I assumed it was a print, looking at it through the plastic of the itoya portfolio, so I said "It's this image, this is the print of the piece I was looking for". That's when they told me it was the original painting I was looking at.

I was floored and quickly decided to add it to my collection. Finding it was kismet.
