DescriptionSo While it's true that Campbell has done an amazing job over at Image, Marvel and DC - his covers for Zenoscope as well as his self published Fairy Tale Calendars showed a different side of the artist. While Zenoscope and Grimm Fairy Tales has a huge loyal audience, I must admit the art inside the books was never to the level of the covers.I used to own a couple of covers early on in my collecting (Al Rio, Sean Chen) both of which were very nice but felt out of place in my collection. When This one came to auction - I had a change of heart. As I don't expect J.Scott will return to this subject matter any time soon - I was super excited at the chance to own this cover with Alice (in Wonderland) on it. There are several other wonderful Campbell covers out there and if you got one that are considering parting with - please hit me up! Thanks for stopping by - your comments are always appreciated! This version would have made the Disney flick a little more interesting! Wait, I think I've seen this Alice in a movie...

I agree with Lee, this piece is SO much better in black and white. It's truly a gorgeous cover. A stunning addition to your collection!

The background art behind the two characters is pretty impressive. One of the best Campbell covers that I've seen from the last decade+.

Campbell makes this cover
And Campbell's art enthralls
And the fairy tale Zeno gives you
For him is a hangin' fast ball
Look at Alice
She's sexy as all
And if you go chasing squirrels
And you know Duke's going J Scott
Tell 'em an auction bidding cover buyer
Has been given the call
Call Alice

I have never read anything Zenescope (and likely never will) but they can catch the buyer's eye with some nice cover work such as this fab' one.

what a great classic JSC cover from the figures themselves to the linework on that monsterous background!

Defintely a unique Campbell cover. You can tell he's really given some thought to composition and the background elements. My favorite thing about it may be his daring in the use of of ink spatter to add some grit to the piece. Congrats!

The comic collectors common lament...That inside art?! Ugh. But this is a super sweet cover, though. So much clean line work, the inks are excellent, and I really like this composition. Sexy Alice, FTW. Congrats!

All of his Grimm Fairy Tales pieces were amazing, imo. But this one is definitely one of his best. Nice takedown

I read your description. Your barbarian roots are showing. 'Hit me up' indeed. You know you can buy stuff without getting hit, don't you? Wait, you get hit in the wallet department. That can be painful, especially if they have a bad aim.

Love this super finished take! JSC really showing out here form the pure illustration, to the detailing, and the precisness, from the characters to the background! Congrats!

This one or your Superman / Gen 13 cover are my favourites of the JSC"s, but all are amazing. I am missing him on comics, loved to read them. Only covers is such a downfall for us comic readers.
