DescriptionArguably the best War Machine covers from the run!Just love this image. The inks by Tom Palmer are superb. It's one of the earliest pieces that I acquired, back around 2012, only a couple years into my art collecting. But I was a stupid moron and returned it, somewhat due to my lack of experience and some unfortunate advice, but mostly due to a panic attack about how much I was spending on art. It's kind of cute what I thought 'a lot' was back then. Hahaha! .... sigh The guy who sold it to me of course immediately found another buyer (I mean, look at it!), so at least I didn't feel too guilty in that respect. He has become a great friend, though that hasn't stopped him from (rightfully) giving me good-natured ribbing over the years about my decision way back then. Losing that one was tough, and I thought it had fallen into some black hole collection, so I was surprised and thrilled to have the opportunity to recently get it back. Of course the price tag has gone up considerably, but it's been nine years, which is like 50 years in 'Original Art Time.' I want to thank Glen Brunswick at Panel Page Art for this one. This is the second piece that Glen has helped 'bring back home.' Social/Sharing |

General rule of thumb, the bigger the shoulder cannons the better!

Same goes for "pads" :) Great piece, Paul. "Welcome home". I'm not sure if there's been a more heroic shot of the character. Chest up and out, one knee up, head turn, shoulder cannon smoking. Suh-weet. Congrats!

I haven't seen the other covers to this run, but only a cover featuring all out action with War Machine and a villain could top this. Just a great cover!!!

I didn't want to make an uninformed statement, so I went online and checked out the first ten covers. Don't know about being the best of the run, but for me it beats the first ten at least. Congrats on another monster take down.

I used to own the cover to War Machine #16, which has the same basic theme, the character standing there posing heroically, but draped (I think!) in an American flag. At the time, I though that must be the coolest cover of the run. But now that I think about it, this one has a far more classic heroic pose, so you win! Congrats on getting this back, btw.

Everything you could want in a War Machine cover, a powerful pose and over-the-top shoulder cannons! A grand addition Paul!

War Machine is about to kick wholesale butt. I know, because that pose screams "come get some!" I 100% get that regret, and the joy when you can rectify the mistake. Welcome home, War Machine, Paul left a light on for you. :) Super awesome cover! Big congrats!

This Cover should be lucky to be in your collection! Haha normally it would be the other way around lol. Beautiful Cover Mentor!! So glad to see it back in your hands. I did a lot of regrets back then as well, luckily I was able to recover most of them back :)

I loved so much all Taylor work at Marvel. It was unusual, and the inker drew his style one way or another.
The match with Palmer was unique as this cover that is more than beautiful: it's a little gem!
Taylor made pick!
