Description

I don't own a lot of prints. This is the only one I have framed and on my wall where it has been for at least a decade. I'd love to track down the original for this, even to just know where it is. I believe this is part of a set of 4 Rip Kirby related prints that were produced by King Features. I have seen the other 3 prints and this is my favorite of the lot. I would also like to find copies of the other 3 prints for my collection so if you have some or come across any, I'd appreciate the help.

With more than 2000 original artworks in your collection it sounds a bit weird to frame and hang a print. But for this one sure it was worth!

I've not seen the original, but there was an Italian Portfolio which reproduced this image and all the other Raymond Portfolio images. The portfolio was done in the late 70's or early 80's entitled "Rip Kirby di Alex Raymond" which should be relatively easy to find. I used to have a double of it, but not any longer.

The much tougher to find portfolio is the original "Suitable for Framing" portfolio. Especially tough is the folder. My copy has tape on the binding fold.
