This is loads of fun. Agree with Kahlil that this is probably very impressive in person. I'm going to have to look into O'Connell.

Ahhhh, the late 80's, those were the Days of Thunder! It mimics the Japanese style of painted cartoon for books and coloring books which are very idealized and warm.

I still have my copy of Speed Racer Classics. This cover holds many fond memories for me. It was such a thrill to read Speed's original manga adventures as a kid, and this image captured all the excitement of the stories perfectly. Very glad this cover went to such a great collection! Huge congrats!
