Description

Nei primi anni 50, Sergio Tarquinio, bravissimo illustratore dal tratto nitido e preciso con contrasti netti di bianco e nero, molto somigliante agli artisti americani, disegna per le Edizioni Dardo il personaggio di di Ray Fox. Ray Fox � un settimanale formato librettino (in questo caso ho messo la copertina di una ristampa recente) . Per questa copertina il nostro Sergio (STark all'epoca), si ispira al disegno pubblicitario che Alex Raymond aveva fatto per la sua creazione Rip Kirby alcuni anni prima.....

Nice! I don't think I've seen Raymond inked by another artist before. Thanks for the swiped/homage cover image as well!

TKS for the comment Mr Frazetta Fan, probably there was a misundertanding, in 1953 Mr Tarquinio simply swiped from Raymond art of 1946. Thanks again for visit.....
