Description

Ever since Doc Dave included a photo of this (and another abandoned LOTR piece) on his blog I have been slightly obsessed...

I can't quite believe that we, not only got this, a Frazetta oil piece, but also one that is family-friendly!
Although there are none of his muscled warriors, curvy babes or hideous beasts it still drips with Frazetta's signature style...
His ink drawings for this project are spectacular, but one can only imagine how they would've turned out if the oil pieces had been completed...

Accomplished in oils on 12.25 x 16 in. artist board.

Finally published in the Lord of the Rings section of the Frazetta Sketchbook Part II (Vanguard Publishing).
