Description

What a wonderful portrait of Megg wandering in the kitchen after dark... Megg, Mogg & Owl is my new comics obsession; funny, disgusting, tender and real, Simon Hanselman's art and story-telling are heartbreakingly good.

Published 4/20/16. Signed by Simon at Fantagraphics 4/23.

Gouache/food colour on water colour paper
29.5 cms (11.75") x 20.5 cms (8")

Simon also included a rough page from Megg & Mogg in Amsterdam, and a piece of studio palette. Thanks also to Jacq (Simon's partner) at Fantagraphics in Seattle.

This is absolutely lovely--which is not a word I typically with Hanselmann's work. Best of all? Not a Werewolf Jones in sight.

Delightful! Subtle expression and stark contrast between the face & hair and dark clothes & backdrop. Almost has an Andrew Wyeth vibe. Hanselmann always delivers
