DescriptionSuperman vol. 2 # 24 1988"Power Politics" pg 11 Writer: Roger Stern Pencils: Kerry Gammill (Signed lower right) Inks: John Beatty (Signed bottom left) Letters: John Costanza Rampage goes after a senator who tries to capitalize on Superman's fame. Tom Moyers uses Kitty to resurrect Rampage and unleash her on a presidential hopeful. I went a little crazy on this one bidding wise. 1988 was a formative year of my adolescent comic reading days. Pages like this really bring me back. Social/Sharing |

It DID go for a fairly strong price given that there is no Superman on it at all, but artistically speaking it is a beautiful example of Gammill's Superman work, which doesn't turn up frequently enough and you had some strong competition who felt the same way, as a good pal of mine will attest to, much to his chagrin.😄 Congrats on the win, Michael!

Thanks Ruben, with the ammount of watchers on this one I knew I was in for a last second fight. Thanks for the kind words.

Hi, I’m the chagrined good pal of his ;)
Sorry to bump the price up so but I too felt that it was a very strong Gammill page (with greats inks as well) despite the absence of the title character.
Congrats.

Yeah that was quite a jump. lol So close to my max. The inks are sublime in person. The nostalgia factor definately got me on this one.
